MagSert Toilet

The MagSert® T-640-B conditions the water feeding your sinks and toilets — anywhere with a 3/8" compression fitting — to help reduce the visible scale, mineral staining, and black rings hard water leaves behind. It's designed to encourage dissolved minerals to form softer crystals that are less likely to harden onto porcelain, and any buildup that does form tends to be softer and easier to wipe away.

Works on moving water: MagSert® conditions water as it flows through the unit. A toilet bowl holds standing water between uses, so at install give the toilet a couple of flushes to cycle freshly conditioned water in — you'll see the best results in fixtures that get used regularly.

What it is — and isn't: MagSert® conditions water. It is not a softener or filter, and it doesn't remove anything from your water — the minerals stay in, MagSert® changes how they behave. Results build over weeks and vary with your local water.

NOTE: Sold individually. Only 1 unit is needed for a toilet. You will need 2 units for the hot and cold fixtures under a sink.

Installation

Toilets — the MagSert® T-640-B installs in a few simple steps:

• Turn off the shut-off valve coming out of the wall. Place a small towel below the valve to catch any drips of water.
• Release the pressure off the line by flushing the toilet.
• Using an adjustable end wrench, remove the supply line from the shut-off valve that goes to the toilet.
• Attach the supply line from the toilet to the MagSert® T-640-B unit and lightly tighten the fitting. Do not over-tighten the joint or a leak may occur.
• Attach the MagSert® T-640-B to the shut-off valve and lightly tighten the fitting. Do not over-tighten the joint or a leak may occur.
• Attach the supply line to the MagSert® T-640-B.
• Turn the shut-off valve back on and wait for the toilet reservoir to fill. Check for leaks at all joints.
• Flush a couple of times so freshly conditioned water cycles into the bowl. You're ready to enjoy MagSert®!

Sinks — the MagSert® T-640-B installs under sinks in a few simple steps:

• Turn off the shut-off valve.
• Release water pressure at the faucet.
• Remove the supply line from the shut-off valve.
• Attach the MagSert® T-640-B unit to the shut-off valve.
• Attach the supply line to the MagSert® T-640-B.
• Turn the shut-off valve back on and check for leaks.
• You're ready to enjoy MagSert®!
